Use databases and indexes [Link Out; Glossary] to locate periodical articles on your topic. Databases contain a combination of full text articles (ready to read online) and article citations. Not every issue of every journal is covered in the databases, so you may need to check our print indexes in the reference and periodical collections to find citations.
To find article authors, titles, and other information, search one of our databases [Link Out]. Remember, Journals are made up of collections of Articles. Databases search articles while Bridge [Link Out] searches only the "outsides," the Journals.

1. If the full text is not visible in the database you're searching, look to see if there is a button that says "Find It" near your citation. If so, click that button and it will search our electronic, print, and microform collections for you.
2. If there is no "Find It" button, search our Journals List [Link Out] for the Journal name (not the title of the article) to see if we have a subscription to it.
3. If you do not find your journal listed there, check Bridge [Link Out] for the Journal name to see if we have the journal, volume, and issue that you need.
4. If you don't find the journal there, or if we don't have the correct volume and issue, order the article via Interlibrary Loan [Link Out; Glossary].
